Hydrogen Peroxide Treat Canker Sores

You're probably in a rush to find a treatment for that annoying sore in your mouth, aren't you?

The hitch that you're having right now is a canker sore also called as mouth ulcer or aphtous stomatitis. It is a round sore with white or yellowish color inside and reddish around it. It usually causes a pungent and burning sensation outside or inside the mouth. It usually lasts a week depending on whether it is continuously being irritated and not treated.

Canker sore makes us difficult to talk or eat because it irritates the mouth when the lip or tongue contacts the sore which creates a friction and cause pain.

Start worrying less, hydrogen peroxide can cure your canker sore in just a short period of time.

How hydrogen peroxide treat canker sores?

1. Hydrogen peroxide is antiseptic and an anti bacterial solution which eliminates the bad bacteria that caused the canker sore in your mouth.
2. As it starts working, it relives the pain and burning sensation in your mouth and on the road of healing.
3. It helps maintain a healthy number of bacteria in our mouth. Our mouth can't be out of bacteria but at least it reduces millions of the bad ones.
4. Hydrogen peroxide heals your sore faster and save you from the annoying days caused by the sore.

Procedure in treating canker sores:

1. Mix equal amount of water and hydrogen peroxide.
2. Gargle and rinse the solution for a couple of minutes and spit it out. Make sure that you didn't swallow the solution.
3. Avoid eating for an hour or two to prevent the breeding of bad bacteria and irritating the sore.
4. Repeat the procedure until the sore heals.
5. You can also use hydrogen peroxide without the mixture of water in the canker sore. Use a cotton ball and apply it in your mouth for 10-15 minutes then rinse with water.

Precaution: Read and follow the direction carefully to avoid the side effect of hydrogen peroxide. Make sure not to swallow hydrogen peroxide. It will cause a weird sensation in your stomach.
